Scholarship Information
The American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA), Orange County Chapter, will be awarding the following scholarships:
• One scholarship for $1,000 to any full-time student enrolled in the Fall 2008 semester/quarter with a major or emphasis in accounting.
• One scholarships for $500 to any full-time student enrolled in the Fall 2008 semester/quarter with a major or emphasis in accounting.
• One scholarships for $500 to any part-time or community college student enrolled in the Fall 2008 semester/quarter with a major or emphasis in accounting who has completed at least 12 units in business administration classes.
ASWA encourages both women and men to apply for the 2008-2009 scholarships.
Scholarship applicants must be attending a four year accredited college, university, or professional school of accounting, unless as otherwise noted above.
Scholarship applicants must also major or have an emphasis in accounting with either a full-time or part-time student status. Full-time and part-time status is determined based upon the most recent semester completed, according to the official transcript records submitted by the applicant.
Scholarship recipients must be available to attend the ASWA - Orange County Chapter – March 2008 dinner meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, The ASWA 2008-2009 scholarships will be awarded at this dinner.
