The American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA), Orange County Chapter, will be awarding the following scholarships:

• One scholarship for $1,500 to any full-time student enrolled in the Fall 2011 semester/quarter at a four year university with a major or emphasis in accounting.
• One scholarship for $1000 to any full-time student enrolled in the Fall 2011 semester/quarter at a four year university with a major or emphasis in accounting.
• Two scholarships for $500 to any part-time university or full-time community college student enrolled in the Fall 2011 semester/quarter with a major or emphasis in accounting who has completed at least 12 units in business administration classes.

ASWA encourages both women and men to apply for the 2011/2012 scholarships.

Scholarship applicants must be attending a four year accredited college, university, or professional school of accounting, unless as otherwise noted above.

Scholarship applicants must also major or have an emphasis in accounting with either a full-time or part-time student status. Full-time and part-time status is determined based upon the most recent semester completed, according to the official transcript records submitted by the applicant.

Scholarship recipients must be available to attend the ASWA - Orange County Chapter – November 16th, 2011 Student Night dinner. The ASWA 2011/2012 scholarships will be awarded at this dinner.
