ASWA was formed in 1938 to increase the opportunities for women in accounting. From our first chapter in Indianapolis, we have grown to over 100 chapters nationwide.  The mission of ASWA is to enable women in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession. SUCCESSFUL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS NIGHT!

On Wednesday, November 18th, 2009 we held our Annual Student Night and Scholarship Awards Dinner. Due to the generosity of our donors throughout the year and of our sponsors this year, we are pleased to continue our tradition and honor four deserving accounting students with scholarships totaling $2,500 to help them realize their dreams. In addition, these students and other student guests had the opportunity to meet and network with accountants and recruiters from accounting firms and industry.

The votes are in and we have our results!

Congratulations to our 2009 Member of the Year Lynn Parker. Lynn currently serves as Director of Accounting and Finance Services, for Volt Workforce Solutions, a full service staffing company providing contract and direct placement staffing services for accounting and finance professionals nationwide.
Lynn joined ASWA in June of 2007 and immediately became an active part of the organization. She currently serves on the Board as our Hotel Liaison.
